The Beginning

This is how it all began. Lots of patchy grass attempting to grow on hard compacted, often rubble and rock fill ground.

The block is 821 m2, 3 existing unknown trees planted in the backyard, some miserable standard roses out the front, beautiful wisteria enveloping the front verandah and some young camellias on the eastern side close to the house.

We aim to slowly plant out the poor excuse of a lawn and replace it with a productive biodiverse edible garden.

We have a big task ahead of us, with novice skill and limited time to invest. Already the enjoyment we get from our first home and its possibilities are encouraging.

We have been here about a year now have begun the transformation and there is nothing more satisfying than growing edibles from little more than seed dirt and water.
