In keeping with my current posting schedule of once per year, here I am again. With the garden gearing up for the exciting spring in a similar way to last year, as seen in the previous post.
Funnily I think that an approximate year is a good amount of healing time for me, I have started to read my emails again, checked in on my former favourite blogs and recently got motivated and inspired to begin painting the kitchen. I can assure you it is a good feeling to feel excitement and motivation again, and Wade has declared he loves me more when I am like this.
Interest in the garden is my next goal under cultivation, and today I will plant out some bean seedlings that Wade raised inside. We took care to let the indoor seedlings have plenty of sunlight, as we have been caught in the past and ended up with weak and leggy babies. So this time the seed trays have been outside in the daylight and tucked into the seed warming tray at night, and we have had great success.
A picture of one of our home grown pumpkins, great colour and taste, and we harvested about 20 of them. They stored well for 6 months and we only have two old looking pumpkins to cut left in the garage. I'm proud that our pumpkins were regularly donated to the soup kitchen to make pumpkin soup, so the garden has been feeding us and the community!
